The AEL Helicopter Pilot position at Air Evac Lifeteam involves operating aircraft in compliance with federal regulations and ensuring safe and efficient flight operations. Responsibilities

• Ensure all operations involving Company aircraft comply with Federal Aviation Regulations and the Air Evac EMS Operations Manual.
• Operate the aircraft safely and efficiently, emphasizing compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual.
• Monitor forecast changes and current weather situations.
• Conduct preflight inspections of the aircraft prior to starting shifts or accepting flights.
• Document discrepancies noted during pre-flight in the engineering log and notify maintenance of corrective actions taken.
• Report to shifts rested and prepared for duty, staying current on weather and forecast changes.

Requirements

• 2000-643 hours total flight time
• 1500 hours helicopter time
• 1000 hours helicopter pilot in command
• 500 hours turbine
• 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
• Previous HAA experience or equivalent (preferred)
• Rotorcraft-Helicopter Commercial Certificate
• Rotorcraft-Helicopter Instrument Rating
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 230-pound weight limit dressed in flight suit and boots.
