About the position

The Sr AEM front-end developer consultant will be part of a dynamic team in Ashburn, VA, focused on transforming front-end code for digital applications across various devices. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and the development of high-quality code for web applications, ensuring compatibility across multiple browsers and devices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members on the development of digital applications for desktop, mobile, and tablet.
• Develop cross-browser and cross-device solutions that function on various platforms including IE 8+, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and mobile devices.
• Implement AEM component development using Sightly and ensure adherence to best practices in coding.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and being accessible to the team and organization.
• Participate in discussions with clients and team members about technical best practices and optimal solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years experience in Adobe AEM Component Development using Sightly.
• Hands-on development experience with AEM 6.x versions and familiarity with Touch UI component development.
• Strong knowledge of the AEM technology stack including Java Content Repository (API), Sling web framework, and Apache Felix OSGi framework.
• Proficient in Java development skills, including using Eclipse IDE with Maven Plugins.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated test execution tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Selenium, or Maven.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, and HTL for component building in Adobe Experience Manager.
• Experience with developing, building, and installing AEM content packages.
• Familiarity with Java concepts and patterns including Java/J2EE, JSP, Spring, Sling, JMS, JUnit, MVC.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Adobe Target and Context Hub for personalization.
• Working knowledge of AWS, CI/CD, Agile development, and GitHub.
• Strong knowledge of Accessibility/SEO guidelines and best practices.
