About the position

The AEM Developer position at DMS Vision Inc. is a remote contract role focused on designing, building, and implementing custom Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components and applications. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage AEM environments, and integrate AEM with other systems. The developer will also mentor junior developers and ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations while driving technical design efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement custom AEM components, templates, workflows, and forms.
• Develop and implement custom portal applications using AEM as a Cloud Service.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
• Configure and manage AEM environments, including infrastructure setup, security, and performance tuning.
• Implement custom Authentication in AEM portal using external IDP.
• Integrate AEM with other systems and tools, such as CRM, analytics, and digital asset platforms.
• Drive technical design and development efforts for AEM projects.
• Mentor junior AEM developers and provide technical guidance and support.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AEM technology trends and best practices.
• Work closely with Product Teams to include continuous technical improvement in the product roadmap.
• Guide and prepare technical architecture documentation for review and approvals.
• Ensure development projects and software deployments meet product requirements and comply with security, privacy, and audit regulations.
• Create and deploy components within an agile delivery process and framework.
• Collaborate with on-shore, off-shore, and development teams to maintain positive team relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of software development & architecture experience.
• Extensive experience with AEM as Cloud Service architecture, development, and deployment.
• Adobe AEM certifications are beneficial to the role.
• Experience with AEM integration and custom development.
• Experience with Java, Sling, OSGi, JCR, and Apache Felix.
• Experience with Adobe Target, Analytics, and Launch is a plus.
• Design and development of web applications using the AEM platform, including site structure, components, templates, fragments, workflows, dialogs, and object model designs (Java APIs).
• Experience in creating AEM components using Front end technologies like Sightly/HTL, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, SASS, and HTML.
• Hands-on experience in developing forms using AEM Adaptive forms and integrating with external systems.
• Knowledge of AEM architecture for AEM Sites & Assets.
