About the position

The AEM Development Supervisor at Inizio Evoke is responsible for leading a team in delivering AEM-based technical solutions to clients. This role involves hands-on coding, managing the development process, and ensuring high-quality standards in the implementation and maintenance of AEM websites. The supervisor will work closely with project management and other teams to create compelling client experiences while also focusing on team development and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, code reviews, testing, and deployment of websites built with AEM.
  • Perform hands-on coding of templates, components, dialogs, and workflows.
  • Package and deliver updates to clients.
  • Educate clients and project teams on the functionality of existing components.
  • Manage a team, providing mentorship, onboarding, documentation, and team processes.
  • Determine feasibility and implementation details of AEM front ends to meet business goals.
  • Ensure the development team has the skills and training necessary to meet project needs.
  • Continue education, training, and process improvement for the development team.
  • Work with the Client and Project Management team to define client goals, objectives, and project timelines.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience managing a development team.
  • 4+ years of experience with AEM 6.5.
  • Extensive experience using CSS, SaSS, JQuery, and Javascript.
  • Expert level skills in core front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
  • Experience developing and maintaining AEM components and component libraries.
  • Good understanding of continuous integration tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with managing Apache configurations and rewrite rules.
  • Troubleshooting AEM package deployment problems.
  • Experience writing requirements and scoping projects.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with cross-channel team members and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to translate technical solutions for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in other CMS platforms (Wordpress, Drupal, headless).
