About the position

The AEM Front-End Developer will play a crucial role in designing and developing intuitive user experiences and interfaces within Adobe Experience Manager for Stryker.com. This position is essential for collaborating closely with cross-functional teams within our Marketing Operations division to translate design concepts into interactive digital experiences, ensuring usability, accessibility, and performance. The developer will be responsible for creating engaging digital experiences by designing and developing user interfaces, templates, and components within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This role requires a detail-oriented approach to process improvement, as the developer will need to optimize AEM templates and front-end code for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility. In addition to development tasks, the AEM Front-End Developer will support the business with AEM authoring, which includes page designs, project management, and publication. The role also involves modifying AEM components and templates, implementing AEM authoring processes to empower content editors, and ensuring adherence to UX/UI design best practices, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines throughout the development process. The developer will conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve the user experience of AEM-driven digital properties, while staying up to date with the latest trends, tools, and advancements in AEM, UX/UI design, and front-end development. Collaboration is key in this role, as the developer will work closely with IT, QA, Security, and other cross-functional teams to build scalable, secured, and reliable content solutions. They will also integrate frontend components with backend systems and APIs, ensuring smooth data flow and functionality. The AEM Front-End Developer will need to understand business requirements and user needs to translate them into effective UX/UI solutions, making this a dynamic and impactful position within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user interfaces, templates, and components within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to create engaging digital experiences.
  • Transform, create wireframes, mockups, and design prototypes.
  • Support the businesses with AEM authoring: Page designs, project management, and publication.
  • Modify AEM components and templates.
  • Implement AEM authoring processes to empower content editors to create and manage digital content efficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to UX/UI design best practices, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines throughout the development process.
  • Optimize AEM templates and front-end code for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Collaborate with IT, QA, Security, and other cross-functional teams to build scalable, secured, and reliable content solutions.
  • Work closely with IT backend developers to integrate frontend components with backend systems and APIs, ensuring smooth data flow and functionality.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve the user experience of AEM-driven digital properties.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and advancements in AEM, UX/UI design, and front-end development, and apply them to enhance our digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and user needs and translate them into effective UX/UI solutions.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Computer Science, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Front-End Developer required.
  • 4+ years of professional working experience required.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (React, Angular, etc.) required.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, information architecture, and user-centered design processes highly preferred.
  • Experience with AEM development tools such as Adobe Experience Manager Developer Tools, CRXDE, and AEM Core Components is a plus.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma for creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant design and editing software.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience implementing accessible designs is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • An excellent eye for detail, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance is a plus.
