About the position

The Aerial Lineperson position at Ledcor involves working on aerial and underground fiber construction projects throughout the state of Washington. This role requires an experienced Lineperson to operate bucket trucks and other equipment to install fiber optic and coax cables, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards. The position operates on a rotation of 21 days on and 7 days off, with travel accommodations and a live out allowance provided for out-of-state workers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate bucket trucks and/or other types of lifts.
• Setup and operate cable placing equipment such as Larson reels, fiber blowers, cable tuggers, cable rollers, and single or double lashing tools.
• Install strand and applicable hardware.
• Place fiber optic, coax cables, and traceable wires.
• Track and communicate daily production and materials.

Requirements

• Active CDL A is preferred.
• One year of experience directly related to working as a Lineperson or in an equivalent position.
• Ability to climb utility poles using climbing spikes and rigging, and experience operating and performing work in a bucket truck.
• Proficient in new build and pole transfers; knowledge in building strand, lashing, pole transfers & grounding.
• Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license, appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven, and a clear driver's abstract.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements and background check.
