About the position

As a full-time Merchandising Team Leader (Assistant Manager) at Aerie, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the merchandising strategy for the store. Your primary focus will be on training and coaching your team to meet AEO brand visual standards while ensuring the store is always guest-ready. You will drive sales, manage merchandising operations, and foster a positive team environment, all while representing the company's values.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity.
  • Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions.
  • Develop short and long-term business plans to drive key KPIs alongside the Store Team Leader.
  • Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience and maintain AEO Brand Standards.
  • Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment.
  • Motivate and inspire the team through AEO's core values and hold them accountable to customer service standards.
  • Recruit and hire strong talent to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and conduct team touchbases, development plans, and performance reviews.
  • Execute and innovate daily operational procedures and maintain visual standards throughout the store.
  • Ensure compliance with store safety standards and AEO's policies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a retail management role.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and develop teams with a general understanding of employment law.
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Flexible availability to work when guests shop.
