The Aero Alliance Repair Development Product Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing productivity and deliverables across the repair network, with a specific focus on supporting both internal and external shops. This position involves close collaboration with GE Aerospace and the global vendor network to execute strategies aimed at maximizing product cost efficiency, improving turnaround times, and achieving other key performance outcomes for the Aero Alliance and its customers. The role is pivotal in driving the Repair Development Strategy for Aero Alliance, a joint venture between GE Vernova and Baker Hughes, particularly for key product lines. The responsibilities include the creation and execution of the Repair Multi-Generational Product Plan (MGPP) and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives aimed at expanding Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities and Level 5 Component Repairs. The Product Manager will manage comprehensive business cases for repairs, which encompass engineering, product and engineering (P&E), and any related capital or operational expenses necessary for developing new repairs for both existing fleets and new products. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with the Cost Out team to ensure visibility into total productivity stemming from repair programs, while also partnering with the Operations team to enhance control over the performance of internal and external vendors. Execution of repair activities is another critical aspect of this role, where the Product Manager will identify opportunities to improve turnaround times for Level 5 repairs across the supply chain of Aeroderivative technology. This includes working cross-functionally to develop and implement action plans, ensuring timely execution of repair activities, and addressing critical issues in partnership with shops. The role demands a strong operating rigor on execution and process improvement, particularly concerning Departure Records to meet critical customer needs. The Product Manager will also work closely with engineering and operations teams to execute repairs effectively and define the most beneficial repair strategies in the Americas region.
