About The Position

JM Fabrication is seeking an experienced Aerospace Assembler to join their team. This role is essential for ensuring that aerospace components and systems are assembled to meet high standards of quality and precision, adhering to AS9100 quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace assembly, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and excellence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace assembly or a related field.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
• In-depth knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and understand assembly drawings (including GD&T), procedures, and instructions.
• Assemble complex aerospace components and systems according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
• Maintain a current knowledge base to efficiently perform assigned tasks and adapt to new or unfamiliar assignments.
• Meet production schedules and organize sequences for optimal productivity.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards throughout the assembly process.
• Conduct quality inspections and testing to verify that assemblies meet the required specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve any issues related to assembly and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Document assembly processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Train and mentor junior assemblers, providing guidance on best practices and techniques.
