About the position
The Aerospace Delivery Buyer II at Honda Aero LLC is responsible for performing tactical and strategic buying activities to ensure on-time delivery and overall part readiness for manufacturing, engine assembly, and maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO). This role involves supplier management, cost sourcing, and supporting project goals through effective communication and negotiation with suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery for manufacturing, engine assembly, MRO, and facility needs.
- Problem-solve and make decisions to support hardware disposition and expedite processes for timely delivery.
- Initiate and evaluate RFQs/RFPs to support business needs and place POs based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers and award business based on quality, cost, and delivery terms.
- Collaborate with Engineering and suppliers to achieve process improvement goals.
- Support team members to ensure processes are understood and followed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, manufacturing engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience in procurement or supply chain.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement or logistics-related experience.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and work collaboratively in teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good negotiation and analytical skills.
- Technical understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings, preferably in Aerospace.
