About the position

The Aerospace Lead, Costs & Subcontracts is responsible for overseeing all aspects of major subcontract execution within the aerospace and defense industry. This role involves managing cost, schedule, technical quality, and ensuring full integration of subcontract work scope within the program. The position requires advanced knowledge of contract types, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage subcontractor relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drive all aspects of major subcontract execution including cost, schedule, technical, and quality management.
• Ensure full integration of subcontract work scope within the program, including proposals, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert with advanced knowledge of various contract types such as FFP, Cost Reimbursement, T&M, CPFF, and CPIF.
• Manage government proposals and Basis of Estimate (BOE) processes effectively.
• Utilize advanced negotiation skills for subcontractor management and program risk management.
• Review technical Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure clarity and eliminate ambiguity in language and technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR requirements and manage Prime Contract flow downs.
• Oversee International Trade Compliance, including ITAR and EAR regulations, and manage import/export processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 9 years of prior relevant experience in subcontract management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations.
• Job titles must explicitly include 'Subcontract'.
