About the position

The Esthetician position at our Pacific Palisades spa involves administering professional facials, waxing services, and other facial treatments to guests. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of skin care, excellent facial massage and skin extraction techniques, and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation. This role requires a willingness to train in our specific facial treatment offerings and to maintain a current state license. The Esthetician will be responsible for providing consistent professional treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices, while also demonstrating a warm and welcoming attitude towards guests. Communication skills are essential, as the Esthetician will need to effectively inform and educate guests about wellness concerns and product knowledge to meet their needs. The position requires a minimum commitment of 20-25 hours per week, including 2-3 closing shifts and at least one weekend shift. Responsibilities include caring for equipment, using products efficiently to assist with cost controls, and having complete knowledge of all services and products offered. The Esthetician will actively promote home care programs and retail products, uphold sanitation standards, perform prep work, and maintain a clean and stocked treatment room. Attendance at meetings and training sessions for new techniques is also required. The ability to work in a team environment, proactively without supervision, and maintain a positive attitude is crucial. The Esthetician will handle guest issues professionally and communicate any occurrences requiring management attention. Additionally, the role may involve assisting in other areas of the spa as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures.
  • Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.
  • Attend meetings and trainings in new techniques or treatments.
  • Ability to work in a team setting environment.
  • Possess the ability to work proactively and without direct supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Handle guest's issues and concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Assist when needed in other areas of the spa as requested by management.

Requirements

  • US Citizen or Work Visa
  • High School or GED
  • Graduated from an Accredited Esthetician School
  • Aesthetician License
