About the position

Huhtamaki is seeking passionate and consummate professionals to join our Accounting and Finance Career Program, an accelerated leadership development initiative designed for top college graduates. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to various functional areas and locations within the company over several years. Participants can expect to engage in challenging roles that will build essential knowledge and abilities necessary for high-level leadership positions in the organization. The program is structured to provide comprehensive experiences that encompass our industry, key business and financial processes, internal controls, and business analytics, all aimed at positioning participants for success in their careers. As part of the program, you will perform operational finance and control activities in accordance with established principles and standards. This includes collecting, interpreting, and reporting information on financial and control activities. You will also provide technical accounting advice and support to managers and senior leaders, ensuring that you are well-equipped to contribute to the company's financial health and strategic objectives. Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from leaders across the company, engage in specialized training and development opportunities, and gain insights into the finance role in various functional areas such as Treasury, Tax, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Business Units, Internal Audit, and Corporate Accounting. Additionally, you will obtain valuable leadership experiences that will serve you well throughout your career. Support for continuing education, including CMA/CPA and MBA programs, will also be provided to help you further your professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operational finance and control activities in accordance with principles and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong aptitude in analytics and problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and motivation to succeed.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office Applications and data management software.
  • Willingness to relocate and develop leadership competencies at other U.S. locations.
