About the position

The Affluent Personal Insurance Account Executive at NFP Corp is responsible for managing and maintaining client programs for affluent individuals and families. This role involves overseeing a book of business, negotiating coverage terms, and providing sales support while working collaboratively with a team. The position can be hybrid or remote, focusing on delivering exceptional service to high-net-worth clients in the personal lines insurance sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and create client programs, including group excess and special markets billing.
  • Negotiate coverage terms and pricing with carriers.
  • Work with other team members in providing sales support for the acquisition of new customers.
  • Assist with underwriting, pricing, and proposal preparation.
  • Attend outside meetings with marketing partners, client groups, and insurance carriers.
  • Manage a book of business valued at $2-3M in premium while contributing to the sales effort of the office.
  • Develop new business through internal and external centers of influence.
  • Provide client support, develop and maintain relationships, and work independently on assigned accounts.
  • Lead by example regarding compliance with set policies.

Requirements

  • P&C license required upon hire.
  • Personal Lines with extensive High Net Worth Account/Client Management experience at an independent agency or retail insurance brokerage.
  • Familiarity with major markets such as AIG, Chubb/ACE, PURE, and Cincinnati Financial, including knowledge of their products and quoting systems.
  • Comprehensive experience with the metropolitan New York area markets.
  • Highly professional and self-motivated.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • A bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of Personal Lines industry and product line experience.
  • Familiarity with carriers such as Travelers and Progressive, as well as The National Flood Insurance Program.
  • Experience with an agency management system/CRM, with fluency in Epic being a plus.
