About the position

The Account Executive at NFP is responsible for managing day-to-day client programs within the affluent personal insurance sector. This role involves overseeing a book of business, providing sales support, and developing new business initiatives while ensuring compliance with company policies. The position can be performed in a hybrid model or fully remote for qualified candidates, focusing on high-net-worth personal lines insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and create client programs, including group excess and special markets billing.
  • Negotiate coverage terms and pricing with carriers.
  • Work with team members to provide sales support for acquiring new customers.
  • Assist with underwriting, pricing, and proposal preparation.
  • Attend outside meetings with marketing partners, client groups, and insurance carriers.
  • Manage a book of business valued at $2-3M in premium while contributing to the sales effort of the office.
  • Develop new business through internal and external centers of influence.
  • Provide client support and maintain relationships on assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • Mid-level Property & Casualty License required upon hire.
  • Personal Lines experience with extensive High Net Worth Account/Client Management experience at an independent agency or retail insurance brokerage.
  • Familiarity with major markets such as AIG, Chubb/ACE, PURE, and Cincinnati Financial.
  • Comprehensive experience with the metropolitan New York area markets highly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of Personal Lines industry and product line experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with carriers such as Travelers and Progressive, as well as The National Flood Insurance Program.
  • Experience with an agency management system/CRM, with fluency in Epic being a plus.
