About the position

The Affordable Housing Leasing Agent at Premier Property Management is responsible for managing leasing activities and ensuring high levels of customer service within the community. This full-time position requires a motivated and organized individual with a strong attention to detail, who will engage with potential residents, process applications, and maintain relationships with current residents.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and handling 'Walk In' traffic
• Showing apartments to potential residents
• Leasing, marketing, and public relations of the community
• Completing Guest Cards
• Processing applications
• Completing required reporting to MSHDA, HUD, and other government oversight departments
• Ensuring resident retention
• Scheduling contractors and maintenance for apartment turns
• Walking vacant units to ensure they are market ready
• Conducting lease signings

Requirements

• 2 years of verifiable experience in property management
• Experience with LIHTC, Section 8, Public Housing, and/or RAD preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Problem solver with a high sense of urgency
