About the position

The Affordable Housing Leasing Consultant serves as the sales representative for the Copper Mountain community, responsible for engaging with potential and existing residents, conducting property tours, processing rental applications, securing lease agreements, and assisting with lease renewals. This role emphasizes compliance with Fair Housing Laws and company policies while striving to meet client expectations and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet Client objectives.
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests.
  • Maintain occupancy levels as established by owner/budget expectations and exhibit professional leasing techniques.
  • Assist with monthly Market Surveys and analysis, advertising, and marketing strategies for the apartment community.
  • Ensure all online marketing sources are updated daily and promote positive resident/management relations.
  • Maintain appropriate resident files and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of these files.
  • Ensure compliance with Risk Management items and report any injuries or property damage promptly.
  • Assist residents with maintenance needs and ensure timely completion of requests.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations fairly and comply with all Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with affordable housing programs such as LIHTC, HUD programs, USDA-Rural Development, HCD, HOME Funds, and Bonds.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in Residential Property Management or related fields.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; college degree in a related field preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and current motor vehicle insurance.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Google Apps, and property management-related software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality, retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with RealPage software.
