About the position

The Affordable Housing Leasing Consultant serves as the sales representative for the community, responsible for engaging with potential and existing residents, conducting property tours, processing rental applications, securing lease agreements, and assisting with lease renewals. This role is crucial in maintaining occupancy levels and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing Laws and company policies, while also supporting the financial objectives of the property management.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet Client objectives.
• Maintain positive, professional communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests.
• Maintain occupancy levels as established by owner/budget expectations and exhibit professional leasing techniques.
• Assist with the completion of monthly Market Surveys and analysis, and advertising strategies for the apartment community.
• Exhibit closing ratios in regards to phone and walk-in traffic per FPI policy and assist with resident retention programs.
• Maintain appropriate resident files and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of these files.
• Ensure compliance with Risk Management items and report any injuries or property damage promptly.
• Assist residents with reporting maintenance needs and ensure timely completion of requests.
• Enforce community rules and regulations consistently and fairly, complying with Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements

• Driver's License required.
• Experience in property management or leasing is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of resident files.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and compliance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with market surveys and analysis.
• Familiarity with advertising and marketing strategies for apartment communities.
• Customer service experience in a leasing or property management environment.
