About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds within the Rancho Cordova property. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs to flooring, drywall, appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems, as well as conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The technician will also be involved in client relations and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the property, all while adhering to company policies and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet client objectives.
• Adhere to the assigned maintenance program for the property's upkeep.
• Serve as on-call maintenance for emergency services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure readiness for new tenants.
• Repair and maintain equipment owned by the apartment community and ensure proper storage.
• Prepare properties for regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with TCAC and CALFHA standards.
• Enforce community rules and regulations and comply with Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in Residential Property Management.
• Knowledge of TCAC compliance and CALFHA inspection requirements.
• High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and a good driving record with current motor vehicle insurance.
• Ability to wear a respirator and be medically fit for duty.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Basic computer skills including email and internet usage.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction.
• Technical school certification in a relevant field.
