About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. This role involves performing a variety of tasks including repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols while meeting client expectations. The technician will also handle unit turnovers and maintain property aesthetics according to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations of the apartment community.
• Adhere to the assigned maintenance program to ensure the property is in proper and safe condition.
• Serve as on-call maintenance providing emergency services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure proper operating conditions and appearance.
• Repair and maintain any equipment owned by the apartment community and maintain an orderly maintenance shop.
• Prepare properties for regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with housing program requirements.
• Enforce community rules and regulations and comply with all Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
• High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
• Basic computer skills (email, internet, etc.).
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction.
• Technical school certification in a related field.
