About the position

The Affordable Housing Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds at Villa Serena in Rocklin, CA. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks including repairs, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The technician will also support client relations and contribute to the overall aesthetic and operational standards of the property.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet client objectives.
• Adhere to the assigned maintenance program for the property's upkeep.
• Serve as on-call maintenance for emergency services during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure readiness for new residents.
• Repair and maintain equipment owned by the apartment community and ensure proper storage.
• Prepare properties for regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with housing program requirements.
• Enforce community rules and regulations and comply with Fair Housing Laws.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in Residential Property Management.
• High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; technical school and/or CAMT certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and a good driving record with current motor vehicle insurance.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Basic computer skills including email and internet usage.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hotel maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction.
• Knowledge of NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, and CALFHA compliance standards.
• Ability to collaborate with city officials, financial institutions, and non-profit partners.
