National Energy Installers is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Affordable Housing Project Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating solar and energy efficiency projects for affordable housing developments. Your ability to seek opportunities, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of these projects. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including housing authorities, developers, and community organizations, to ensure that projects meet the specific requirements and regulations of affordable housing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a positive impact in underserved communities. In this position, you will design solar arrays and model their performance using software such as Helioscope, PVsyst, and AutoCAD. You will work with the Origination and Project Development teams to prospect and develop new projects, perform onsite feasibility for prospective projects, and coordinate with consultants for Civil, Electrical, Environmental, and Structural engineering feasibility. Additionally, you will coordinate with vendors for major equipment procurement, including solar PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, battery-energy storage systems, and other balance-of-system components. You will assist in managing a portfolio of projects, which includes designing 10% drawings using AutoCAD, reviewing feasibility study documents from third-party engineers, delegating stamped drawings to third-party engineers, vetting the engineering drawings before milestone approval and submittal, applying for utility interconnection, and seeing the project(s) through to approval. You will also assist the Project Development team in applying for permitting and ensure the project(s) are built efficiently by fielding RFIs in a timely manner. Furthermore, you will engage with the Asset Management team to ensure the projects being built are designed well, taking what is learned to future projects.
