About the position

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an AFGSC A5/8 Representative / Liaison (LNO) to support our operations at Eglin AFB in Niceville, FL. The candidate will serve as the liaison between AFGSC and various DoD offices at Eglin AFB, ensuring effective communication and coordination on topics of interest to AFGSC's weapons portfolios and capabilities. This role involves interfacing with multiple acquisition and technology-related offices, monitoring bomber weapons and survivability topics, and providing local support to programs of interest. The position requires a high-performing self-starter who can operate in multidisciplinary teams and involves frequent travel for command inputs and technical interchanges.

Responsibilities

• Interface regularly with PEO, SPO, and other acquisition, technology, or combat capability-related offices located at Eglin AFB.
• Coordinate timely responses from AFGSC to various offices for questions and RFIs needing AFGSC endorsement, support, or advocacy.
• Monitor and support AFGSC bomber weapons and survivability-related topics and activities.
• Provide local on-site support to programs of AFGSC interest.
• Operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government, and military personnel.
• Travel frequently to provide command inputs for advanced program acquisition decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience, knowledge, and understanding of AFGSC-related weapons and technologies.
• Familiarity with DoD and US Air Force statutory and regulatory policies, directives, and procedures relating to acquisition, PPBE, and JCIDS activities.
• Experience with programs entering the Materiel Solution Analysis (MSA) phase and continuing through the acquisition lifecycle.
• Strong ability to work with minimal oversight and demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
• Good analytic skills and capability to operate in a multi-tasking environment.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to travel monthly.

Nice-to-haves

• Recently retired O-5/O-6 with Eglin AFB experience.
• Staff level requirements experience.
• USAF Weapons School, flight test, or similar experience.
