About the position

The After Hours Nurse Clinician (RN) is responsible for providing direct nursing services and case management related to infusion therapy for patients in their homes or alternative living sites. This role involves triaging calls overnight, collaborating with healthcare providers, and acting as a resource for home care nursing staff. The position requires independent work and effective communication with patients and caregivers, primarily through phone triage, with occasional in-person visits as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing services and case management related to infusion therapy.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Act as a primary communication link during off hours, providing triage to patients and families.
  • Demonstrate competency in all phases of the nursing process.
  • Serve as a resource for home care nursing staff regarding infusion home care needs.
  • Drive to patient homes if necessary, typically only once during a 7-day period.

Requirements

  • Valid WA State RN License.
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
  • Comfortable working independently in a non-structured environment.
  • Personal vehicle for occasional patient visits.
