About the position

The Afternoon Special Needs Caregiver role involves providing compassionate care and support to individuals with special needs. This part-time position focuses on assisting with daily activities, personal care, and promoting a safe and nurturing environment. The caregiver will engage in recreational and therapeutic activities while maintaining communication with family members and medical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and support for individuals with special needs.
• Assist with personal care, including feeding, toileting, and dressing when necessary.
• Support with daily tasks and activities.
• Promote a safe and nurturing environment for the individual in your care.
• Engage in recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Maintain communication with family members, caregivers, and medical professionals.

Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required (paid training provided).
• Must be comfortable driving to activities or outings (valid driver's license required).
• Ability to work afternoons and be flexible with scheduling.
• A positive, patient, and compassionate attitude toward individuals with special needs.
• Must be able to pass background checks.
