About the position

As an After School and Entry-Level Gymnastics Coach at Capital Gymnastics, you will play a vital role in teaching and inspiring young athletes in gymnastics and ninja skills. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule, primarily after school and on weekends, allowing you to engage with children in a safe and supportive environment while developing your coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Coaching basic to intermediate gymnastics and ninja skills, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Providing positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to help athletes improve their skills.
• Communicating effectively with children, parents, and fellow coaches.
• Learning new techniques, skills, spotting methods, and progressions to help challenge the children in your classes.
• Assisting with special events, including but not limited to camps, skills clinics, birthday parties, open gyms, etc.
• Being adaptable to changes in the schedule and assisting with additional events as needed.

Requirements

• Passion for gymnastics and working with children.
• Availability to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow coaching guidelines and safety protocols.
• Previous experience in gymnastics (participation, coaching, or related roles) is a plus, but not required.
