About the position

The After-School Pickleball/Tennis Coach position at Euro School of Tennis involves teaching pickleball and tennis to elementary school children in grades K-3. This part-time role requires managing classes, creating a positive learning environment, and engaging with students and parents. Coaches will work flexible hours, primarily after school, and are expected to transport equipment and handle administrative tasks related to class management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a class size of 8 - 16 students aged 5-10 years old.
• Teach pickleball and tennis classes using provided lesson plans.
• Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize with the program.
• Transport tennis equipment to and from class and set up necessary equipment.
• Take attendance, sign in, and sign out students for each class.
• Interact with parents and school office staff as necessary.
• Provide feedback for each student by the end of the session.
• Capture pictures of kids in action during each session.

Requirements

• Must be 19+ years old upon application submission.
• Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilient, positive attitude.
• Must have the ability to work independently and within a small team.
• Must have own car and valid driver's license to use at work.
• Willingness to undergo a live scan background check and TB test before working.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous teaching or playing experience in pickleball or tennis is preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
