About the position
The After School Program Assistant Site Director is responsible for managing the daily operations of the after-school program in Florham Park, NJ. This part-time role involves supervising staff, engaging with children, and fostering positive relationships with parents and school personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience working with school-age children and possess strong management skills to ensure a safe and engaging environment for the children.
Responsibilities
- Managing day to day operations of the program site
- Training and managing other adults
- Being available to work 2:30pm to 6:30pm (Monday - Friday) and 7-9am if working the before school program
- Attending required monthly staff meetings and other meetings as necessary
- Developing positive relationships with parents and school personnel
- Creating and implementing a monthly club activity schedule to keep kids engaged
- Planning at least two annual family events for the program's parents
- Maintaining professionalism and adaptability in changing environments
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of experience working with children, preferably school age
- Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessarily required
