About the position
The After School Program Coordinator at SquashDrive plays a crucial role in supporting middle and high school students in their academic and athletic pursuits. This part-time position focuses on delivering programming that enhances students' academic performance, prepares them for college and careers, and fosters character development through squash instruction and related activities. The coordinator will work closely with students, parents, and educational staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student success.
Responsibilities
- Help facilitate after-school, year-round academic support for 5th-12th graders including classroom instruction, homework help, tutoring, and squash and fitness activities.
- Inspire, engage, and support pathways towards academic and squash success.
- Support with arranging school visits and the school placement process.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans and workshops covering academic needs, current events, college and career readiness, and soft and hard skills.
- Arrange team building, leadership, and enrichment activities.
- Deliver supplemental programming during school breaks.
- Track and report key performance indicators such as attendance and grades.
- Manage student behavior and instill the organization's DRIVE values.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
- CPR/First Aid and AED certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to inspire, engage, and support students and families.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Graphic Design skills.
- Spanish speaking ability.
