About the position
The After School Program Instructional Aide at Fairview is responsible for supporting the educational and recreational activities of students in an after-school setting. This role involves assisting teachers, supervising students, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children during after-school hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of educational and recreational activities for students.
- Supervise students during after-school hours to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Support teachers in managing classroom activities and student behavior.
- Help with homework and provide academic support to students as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Requirements
- Must have an AA degree or two years of college (48 units) or passage of the CODESP test.
- Must meet minimum standards for instructional aide certification.
- Bilingual skills are preferred.
