About the position

The After School Program Mentor plays a crucial role in fostering youth development by leading elementary students in enrichment activities in a Christian ministry setting. This part-time position, averaging 17-20 hours per week, is dedicated to serving and developing kids in the community, aiming to have a positive and lasting impact on their lives.

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school.
• Foster youth development in a supportive environment.
• Serve as a role model and mentor to students.
• Collaborate with other team members to provide quality after school care.
• Ensure a safe and engaging atmosphere for all participants.

Requirements

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred, with some post-secondary training highly preferred.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred.
• Ability to work Monday - Friday from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
• Must pass a mandatory background/sex offender check.
• Valid driver's license or ID required.
• Legally allowed to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.
• CPR/First Aid certification (ability to earn is mandatory).
