About the position
The After-School Program Site Lead position at EduCare Foundation is a part-time role focused on supporting middle school after-school programs. The Site Lead will assist the site coordinator with administrative tasks, supervise staff, and ensure a safe and engaging environment for students. This role involves facilitating academic and recreational programs, maintaining communication with parents, and managing program supplies.
Responsibilities
- Support the site coordinator with office support responsibilities for two hours a day.
- Facilitate academic, enrichment, and/or physical recreational programs daily.
- Receive training to cover the school site in the absence of the Site Coordinator.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
- Ensure staff adhere to program policies and procedures and all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Supervise and engage with children during program hours, addressing their needs and managing behavior as required.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, providing updates on program activities and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Coordinate with school staff to ensure smooth operation and integration of the program with the school's objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant information.
- Manage program supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good condition and properly stored.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience working with middle school students
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- 1 year of experience with Microsoft Excel
- 1 year of experience with Microsoft Word
- CPR Certification
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of experience with Google Suite
- 1 year of experience in after school programming
