About the position

The After-School Sports Coach (Volleyball) at Ben Bellucci Academy (BBA) is responsible for leading engaging sports coaching sessions for youth players, fostering athletic excellence, teamwork, and character development. This part-time, seasonal role requires a passion for mentoring young athletes and creating a positive environment that promotes sportsmanship and discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and interactive sports coaching sessions for youth players of various ages and skill levels.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and fun environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Design and implement age-appropriate training drills, games, and strategies for volleyball.
• Ensure the safety and supervision of all participants during each session.
• Arrive on time, take attendance, and supervise children until their parents pick them up.
• Keep parents and the BBA team informed about player progress, schedules, and updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sports coaching or a related field, focusing on working with youth, particularly volleyball.
• Strong passion for mentoring and instilling values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
• Must pass a background check (district requirement).
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
• Reliable transportation and access to a smartphone for communication are required.
• Availability to coach after school.
