About the position

The After School STEM Enrichment Instructor at Snapology is responsible for teaching STEM programs to elementary school students after school hours. The role emphasizes promoting creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while educating students on STEM concepts. Instructors will collaborate with Snapology leadership and represent the organization professionally to parents and children.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos, and/or participating in live training sessions.
• Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs.

Requirements

• State and Federal Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances must be current and cleared to work with children in PA.
• Experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
• Education degree or teaching experience recommended; College students pursuing a degree in education are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally in English.
• Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
