About the position
The After-School Supervisor for Young Children's Community is responsible for overseeing and engaging with infants and toddlers during after-care programming at Hudson Montessori School. This part-time role focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 6 months to 2.5 years, ensuring effective student management and facilitating engaging activities. The position also involves communication with parents during drop-off and pick-up times, and may include additional hours during school breaks.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision during After Care Programming for infants and toddlers.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and parents during drop-off and pick-up.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Assist with additional coverage during 'School's Out' days.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or working towards a bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in childcare or supervising children for at least 1 year preferred.
- Valid First Aid Certification preferred.
- Must pass a background check.
Nice-to-haves
- Montessori experience (not required).
- CPR Certification (preferred).
