About the position
The After School Teacher at Huntington Learning Center is responsible for providing individualized instruction in subjects such as Phonics, Reading, Math, Science, and ACT/SAT preparation to students from K-12 grades. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule and focuses on enhancing students' academic skills and confidence without the burden of lesson planning or parent interactions.
Responsibilities
- Teach Phonics, Reading, Math, Science, and ACT/SAT to K-12 students.
- Track and report students' daily progress.
- Provide one-on-one instruction to students.
- Utilize Huntington's teaching techniques and skills in the classroom.
- Work with a variety of students at different grade levels.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Teaching Certification preferred but not required.
- Flexibility and reliability in scheduling.
- Willingness to work a minimum of 2-3 days (8-10 hours) per week.
- Some technical experience for online and in-center tutoring.
