About the position

The Aftermarket Expediter at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is responsible for tracking and managing Aircraft on Ground (AOG) orders from sales through delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely resolution of AOG situations by locating out-of-stock parts and coordinating with various departments to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and take ownership of AOG orders through sales, picking, shipping, and delivery.
  • Identify optimum shipping options to resolve AOG orders efficiently.
  • Impact OTC sales revenues through effective order management.
  • Familiarize with parts sources at all GAC locations and third-party providers.
  • Instill urgency among warehouse, planning, and purchasing teams regarding AOG response.
  • Create summary reports on AOG outcomes.
  • Support Parts Sales and Technical Operations in locating parts for AOGs.
  • Provide guidance to Spare Parts Sales Representatives as needed.
  • Identify process changes to expedite AOG handling.
  • Develop relationships with Planning and Purchasing teams.
  • Monitor Corridor Sales Orders for proper processing across departments.
  • Ensure quality assessment when purchasing from third parties.
  • Work with Purchasing to add approved suppliers for future AOGs.
  • Review backorder history with Planners to reduce future occurrences.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Three to four years of experience in shipping, material handling, technical operations, or transportation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Corridor, or SAP preferred.
  • Familiarity with Gulfstream or its suppliers is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Gulfstream's Procurement Procedures and manufacturing principles.
  • Understanding of technical operations and parts sales roles.
  • Experience with alternative suppliers.
