About the position

The Aftermarket Parts & Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales of aftermarket services, including preventive maintenance programs, parts, training, technical services, and machine rebuild services. This role involves both remote sales and travel to customer locations, developing marketing strategies, and coordinating with various company executives to enhance service delivery. The ideal candidate should possess a strong sales background, technical aptitude in metal bending, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Reach KPI sales targets for PM contracts, parts, training and technical services, and rebuilt machines.
  • Create and institute sales campaigns to promote services using multiple market channels (phone, e-mail, blasts, websites, social media).
  • Work in concert with other disciplines and departments to ensure a smooth operating sales organization.
  • Coordinate with the sales department to avoid cannibalizing the sale of new machines.
  • Coordinate with field technicians to communicate and deliver services and parts to customers.
  • Escalate critical customer situations to ensure satisfaction and protect the company from issues.
  • Work closely with field service technicians and salesmen to estimate the value of used machines for buyback purposes.
  • Collaborate with the customer service manager to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' Aftermarket Sales experience.
  • Experience in Sheet Metal and/or Metal Fabrication.
  • Good strategic sense and ability to formulate a vision for the future.
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Salesforce.com.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Business Central.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to travel 40% throughout the year.
  • Knowledge of equipment manuals and ability to read and understand them.
  • Ability to use various mechanical, electrical, and testing tools effectively.
  • Experience with machine tool repairs or similar.
