About the position

The Aftermarket Sales Representative is a business-to-business sales role focused on selling contract maintenance programs and catalog parts for material handling equipment. The representative will pursue new business opportunities and develop relationships with key existing accounts within a designated territory, utilizing various sales strategies and customer engagement techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Sell contract maintenance programs for material handling equipment and catalog parts.
  • Pursue new business and develop key existing accounts in an assigned territory.
  • Analyze opportunities and identify key personnel to develop strong business relationships.
  • Conduct cold calls, presentations, and follow up on leads for new business.
  • Develop sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations.
  • Prepare quotations, cost reports, performance reports, and customer correspondence.
  • Develop a territory management plan to maximize customer engagement and retention.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer files, and sales activity information.
  • Discuss sales activities with management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program preferred.
  • Several years of successful sales experience is a plus.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills required.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Nice-to-haves
