About the position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a leading manufacturer of lift trucks, is seeking an Aftermarket Sales Representative/Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Mount Pleasant, PA. This full-time position is focused on business-to-business (B2B) sales, specifically targeting the sale of contract maintenance programs for material handling equipment and catalog parts. The successful candidate will be responsible for pursuing new business opportunities while also developing and maintaining key existing accounts within an assigned territory. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, including cold calling, conducting presentations, and following up on leads to secure new business. In this position, you will analyze market opportunities, identify key personnel within target organizations, and build strong business relationships. You will be expected to develop effective sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts to drive sales growth. Additionally, you will conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations to showcase our offerings to potential clients. Preparing quotations, cost reports, performance reports, and customer correspondence will also be part of your responsibilities. A territory management plan will be essential to maximize your time with customers, ensuring that you seek new business while enhancing customer retention through monitoring customer satisfaction. Accurate record-keeping is crucial, and you will utilize online resources to maintain detailed records of sales calls, customer files, and sales activity information. Regular discussions with management regarding sales activities will be expected to align with company goals and objectives. This position is based out of Crown's Pittsburgh Branch location and will cover Mt. Pleasant and surrounding areas, providing a local resource for our customers' material handling needs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the sale of contract maintenance programs for material handling equipment and catalog parts sales.
  • Pursue new business and develop key existing accounts in an assigned territory.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program preferred.
  • Several years of successful sales experience is a plus.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills are essential.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to safely operate lift trucks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in B2B sales is preferred.
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment is a plus.
