About the position

The Afternoon Assistant Preschool Teacher at St. Mark's Montessori School is responsible for supporting the educational environment for young children in an authentic Montessori setting. This part-time role involves preparing aftercare activities, assisting students with self-care, and collaborating with staff to ensure a nurturing and enriching experience for students. Responsibilities

• Prepare aftercare activities, lessons, and spaces
• Help students with self-care and regulation
• Coordinate with admin and fellow aftercare staff
• Be respectful and helpful towards all staff and students
• Be ready to acquire new skills to better yourself and the environment
• Be communicative and reliable

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a background check
• 18 years of age or older

Nice-to-haves

• 45 Hour Course/ Child Growth and Development
• College Course
• 1 year+ experience working with young children
• Montessori experience (either attending as a student or serving as a teacher)
