About the position

The position involves coaching children in soccer through a progressive development program. The role focuses on creating a fun, engaging, and educational environment that fosters motor development and a love for the sport. Coaches will have the opportunity to positively impact children's lives while promoting healthy habits and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist/Teach energetic and motivating soccer classes.
• Connect and challenge each child to help them accomplish motor development and skill goals.
• Inspire a love of movement and healthy habits in an organized, structured, and fun manner.
• Provide individual and group attention to children during classes.
• Show up on time to class, physically and mentally prepared, including commuting time.
• Adapt to the mental level of each child to make soccer fun for them.

Requirements

• Able and willing to travel throughout the East and Northeast Houston area for class locations.
• Availability must include weekday afternoons (12:00 - 3:00 PM) and/or early evenings (3:00 - 6:00 PM).
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Soccer playing background preferred.
• Must be energetic, patient, attentive, and punctual.
• Reside in or near East/Northeast Houston.
