About the position

The Ag Equipment Salesperson will work with a reputable agricultural equipment dealership in Paris, Tennessee, focusing on the sale of new and used agricultural equipment. The role emphasizes building strong customer relationships and providing excellent customer service while representing the dealership in a defined sales area.

Responsibilities

  • Sell new and used agricultural equipment to customers in a defined sales area.
  • Provide high levels of customer service and build relationships with customers.
  • Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of equipment.
  • Monitor competitive activity and communicate findings to management.
  • Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Monitor trends in customers' business activities and communicate timely to management.
  • Evaluate used equipment values for trading purposes.
  • Assist customers with financing options for purchases.
  • Attend sales training events and seminars.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of agricultural equipment sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with tractors, combines, sprayers, tillage equipment, and grain carts.
  • Experience in a John Deere, Kubota, New Holland, Case-IH, Massey Ferguson, or similar ag dealership.
