About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Agency Management Systems at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is responsible for leading and managing the IT workstream team, ensuring alignment with M&A project objectives. This role involves overseeing project planning, execution, and quality of deliverables while facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders. The Technical Program Manager will also manage resources, track progress, address issues, and implement risk management strategies to enhance project efficiency and system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the IT Agency Management Systems workstream team.
  • Foster collaboration and ensure alignment with M&A project objectives.
  • Manage resources across projects and allocate funds appropriately.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular updates and maintain effective communication with the acquired company.
  • Oversee planning, execution, and quality of workstream deliverables.
  • Track progress and address any issues or roadblocks that arise.
  • Coordinate with other workstream leads to manage interdependencies and share best practices.
  • Develop and manage project plans defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Evaluate processes for ongoing improvement and efficiency within the workstream.
  • Implement active monitoring of system performance and gather user feedback for continuous enhancement.
  • Manage migration, upgrades, and capacity planning for Sagitta, ImageRight, and Benefit Point environments.
  • Develop a detailed migration plan, including timelines and resource allocation.
  • Ensure data integrity and system compatibility during the migration process.
  • Collaborate with IT and vendor teams to address technical challenges.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a management-focused role related to the Vertafore suite of products, particularly Sagitta, ImageRight, and Benefit Point.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing and ambiguous goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and problem resolution in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex agency management solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship.
