About the position

The Agency Quality Inspector position at Advanced Energy is a temporary role focused on performing quality inspections on products during the manufacturing process. The inspector will be responsible for recording, tracking, and reporting inspection results, as well as assisting in implementing corrective actions to maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inspections on products, including both surface mount and through hole PCBs, both manufactured and repaired, to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and data sheets on in-process and end-of-line inspection failures
  • Performs first article inspections on products
  • Reports results in a clear format on a regular basis
  • Assists in identifying root cause and corrective actions and co-owns the implementation of corrective actions
  • Reports quality issues to production supervisor or lead and maintains confidentiality
  • May assist in training others
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of inspection experience in an electronic manufacturing environment inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Knowledge of IPC-610-A (or equivalent) and ISO processes
  • Ability to interpret procedures and determine if non-conformities exist
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices
  • Ability to interpret quality standards, specifications and drawings and apply them when evaluating product
  • PC skills - basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Excel preferred
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
