About the position

The Agent in Charge: People Operations at Prairie Cannabis is a leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations at the dispensary, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position involves managing a team of budtenders, driving brand strategy, and implementing marketing initiatives to enhance customer experience and sales. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of cannabis products, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure seamless onboarding for all new hires.
  • Oversee and track the completion of all mandatory annual training.
  • Coordinate with the General Manager to manage agent badge renewals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for social media reviews and inquiries.
  • Champion customer experience initiatives by analyzing product performance.
  • Provide daily coaching on product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Ensure proper documentation and resolution of customer service incidents.
  • Greet and engage customers with a professional approach.
  • Provide tailored product recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Stay current on cannabis strains and consumption methods.
  • Educate customers on strain differences and consumption practices.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly.
  • Train staff on compliance procedures and product handling.
  • Oversee inventory levels and maintain accurate product records.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain a diverse product selection.
  • Submit required reports in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with management and marketing teams on sales strategies.
  • Lead and inspire a team of budtenders to deliver exceptional service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispensary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferably in cannabis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, heavily regulated environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
  • Must be 21 years of age and able to pass State required background qualifications.
