About the position

The Aggregate Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining relationships with existing customers while actively seeking new business opportunities. This role involves selling company products, performing sales collections, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service. The representative will work closely with contractors and government purchasing employees to promote the company's offerings and support sales operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain current customer base and solicit new business.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with contractors and purchasing employees.
  • Describe, present, and sell company products.
  • Investigate new markets and products for potential sales opportunities.
  • Research project requirements to determine sales prospects.
  • Establish prices for products and services in the accounting system.
  • Quote prices for products and freight to customers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate sales, activity, and expense reports.
  • Monitor customer job progress and accuracy of product tickets and orders.
  • Perform credit collection on past due accounts for assigned customers.
  • Assist in dispatch when needed.
  • Work closely with managers to determine customer requirements and coordinate product availability.
  • Ensure a safe and healthful work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in sales, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Ability to review and analyze financial information.
  • Strategic thinking skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of concrete and aggregate products.
