About the position

The Agile Coach and Digital Transformation Lead at Booz Allen is responsible for driving organizational transformation by implementing Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban. This role involves coaching and mentoring team members, leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and delivering training and workshops to promote Agile practices. The position requires collaboration with senior leadership to establish lean agile routines and practices, ensuring the organization can operate Agile at scale while integrating continuous development and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive transformation across the organization using Agile frameworks like SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
  • Coach and mentor team members to adopt the Agile mindset.
  • Lead multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) from end-to-end.
  • Deliver SAFe training and workshops, including leading SAFe, SAFe for Teams, and SAFe PO/PM.
  • Partner with senior leadership to establish lean agile routines and practices.
  • Facilitate discussions with team leads and management to maintain focus on commitments, pace, and quality.

Requirements

  • Experience with coaching, mentoring, and advising technology leaders through agile transformation.
  • Experience as an Agilist, leading agile transformations as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
  • Experience with designing and executing enterprise organizational transformation frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian Suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Software Delivery Life Cycle or Systems Engineering Life Cycle and Agile Management tools.
  • Ability to lead discussions with executives and team leads.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Agile Certifications such as PMI, CSM, CAL, ICAgile, or Scrum Master Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience supporting the Navy or DoD.
  • Experience working with senior executive leaders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of human-centered design or customer experience.
  • Familiarity with requirements management, agile development, test-driven design, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
  • Knowledge of DoD Program Management Office (PMO) responsibilities.
