About the position

The Agile Coach at Ford Motor Company plays a pivotal role in leading engineering teams to adopt agile methodologies within the Connected Vehicle Software (CVS) organization. This position is essential for fostering collaboration, increasing velocity, and building trust among teams as they transition to a software-defined vehicle framework. The Agile Coach will leverage their expertise to conduct coaching engagements that are focused on measurable outcomes, ensuring the successful implementation of agile practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute agile expertise to refine the agile framework and modern working methods.
  • Collaborate with the CoE to design a portfolio of coaching engagement services.
  • Build relationships with CVS engineering teams to identify value-added services.
  • Craft timeboxed coaching engagements to enhance collaboration, velocity, and trust.
  • Define, track, and report measurable outcomes for coaching engagements.
  • Coach and mentor the CVS engineering community to increase agile acumen.
  • Streamline and support continuous improvement of agile processes and practices.
  • Evangelize good agile hygiene in processes, systems, and organizational design.
  • Maintain status as a subject matter expert in agile methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or similar roles
  • Up-to-date certifications in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral & written)
  • Facilitation and team building skills
  • Conflict resolution and collaboration skills in diverse environments
  • Demonstrated history of driving agile transformation in complex environments
  • Experience implementing advanced agile approaches such as extreme programming (XP) and paired programming.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
