About the position

The Agile Coach at Cboe will play a crucial role in enhancing software development practices by advocating for agile methodologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position involves collaborating with engineering teams to identify areas for enhancement, implement best practices, and ensure effective agile adoption across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Guide teams through the adoption and improvement of agile practices, helping them navigate challenges related to team dynamics and workflow.
  • Support the personal and professional growth of team members by providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Work with leadership to cultivate agile thinking and enhance leadership capabilities within the organization.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions on agile methodologies, and facilitate workshops, meetings, and team-building activities.
  • Continuously assess and improve agile processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions to optimize team performance.
  • Establish and uphold agile best practices, ensuring they are tailored to the unique needs of our teams and projects.
  • Foster an environment of open communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among teams.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track the effectiveness of agile practices and identify areas for further improvement.
  • Promote a culture of agility, adaptability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Team Lead working with agile software development teams, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), or equivalent agile certifications.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean, with a proven track record of successful agile transformations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and foster the adoption of agile practices at both team and organizational levels.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
  • A genuine passion for helping teams and individuals achieve their full potential and thrive in an agile environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, promoting a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and practices, including Jira, Confluence, and Stash, is highly desirable.

  • Experience with advanced technology and methodologies in software engineering.
  • Previous experience in a financial services or trading environment.
